How to use it

  1. Put on stereo headphones and check that left and right are the right way round.
  2. Set the pace and number of passes your therapist recommends. You can keep the light on or follow the sound only.
  3. Press Start. The tones stop on their own at the end of the set.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need headphones?

Yes. Bilateral sound only works when each ear hears its own side, so you need stereo headphones or earbuds. Speakers mix both sides.

Are the sounds the same as in the app?

This page uses the app's original tick. The EMDR Flow app adds more sound profiles (soft, wood, bell, water and others), switchable mid-session.

Is auditory bilateral stimulation as effective as eye movements?

Visual, auditory and tactile stimulation are all used in EMDR practice. Which one suits a client is a clinical decision for the trained therapist.

Can my therapist control the sounds remotely?

Yes, in the EMDR Flow app. The therapist runs the session from the app and the client joins from the app or any browser with a code; pace, sets and pauses are controlled in real time.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no email and no ads.
